The Green Way (Via Verde) is one of the most modern and contemporary works you can enjoy in Abruzzo, and one that is slowly transforming the face and role of the region in terms of new and sustainable tourism.
Rising above the old Adriatic railway track, now disused, it is a conversion project that will accompany you along the entire Costa dei Trabocchi.
It runs along 42 km of coastline where you will find catering services, b&b, Mtb, City bike and electric scooter rentals.
You will always be accompanied by the blue sea and the wild and fragrant nature of the Trabocchi Coast. You will visit nature reserves and ancient millennia-old abbeys such as San Giovanni in Venere, and encounter small seaside villages such as San Vito Chietino, Fossacesia and Torino di Sangro.
The Bicycle Lane, which starts from Ortona and goes all the way to Vasto, is an infrastructure dedicated to sustainable mobility that, in its 42 kilometers, offers naturalistic testimonies of enchanting beauty; as well as being useful as a means of travel and also to go in search of new beaches and immaculate coves.
